A Horse Named Pasha

Celebrating: Animals named PASHA

Back in January, I "evented" (I gleaned that term from Ann's book--and likely I am shamelessly misusing it) For the Love of the Horse, Volume III by Ann Jamieson.

I am now finally reading it. But what better time than awaiting the last event of the Triple Crown (and, yes, my money is on California Chrome).

I have never even touched a horse; but Ann Jamieson's book made me smile, recall famous names (Barbaro among them), as well as cry (mostly because of happy endings).

Of course, when I came to the Chapter entitled "Pasha," you could have pushed me over with a feather.

As soon as I finish, I will write a review of this wonderful book, easy to read even for someone without a clue about horses. Most expressions are either explained or easily guessed at - except when Ann talks about a horse having his "teeth floated." I sure hope that'll never happen to me! I shudder imagining having a tall glass next to my bed; you get the picture!

Anyway,
celebrate that majestic animal with me today.

I just realized that Ann's has made another of her books FREE on Amazon.
