Today, I celebrate sunshine. But now, I must make a choice: To write or to weed.
One will give me pleasure - the other jigger bites (in case you don't know what those are, let me tell you, they are nasty).
Perhaps I'll do a bit of both. Then I can celebrate some accomplishments - and relax, and reread what I have written while scratching the jigger bites. Such are the pros and cons of living within such a lush, green environment.
In any case, a Friday-blog-hop celebration is always a welcome diversion.
When the flaming-orange tom was brought to the local animal shelter, he was messy. And he stank. That darn cat never took his eyes off me. They were not quite green and not quite yellow; they were round, and alert, and reflected light like precious stones set in orange gold. ‘Don’t even think about it,’ I told him. I love this blog hop. It makes you dig down deep and think about the week.
ReplyDeleteJigger bites sound awful! The heck with weeding. My mom had a garden and I never understood the attraction. Cleaning the house is more than enough manual labor doing something I hate. Good luck with your writing!
ReplyDeleteWeeding needs to be done, but writing is far more pleasurable. Doing a bit of both seems like a good idea. Do the thing you don't really want to do, and reward yourself afterwards. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteThanks all, for stopping by. I took the middle (but not the easiest) road - sawed down two pesky wild redbud trees with my piddly handsaw. Then I had to cut them up to fit everything into two pickle buckets and two laundry basket to take to the dump. Bless the sturdy Volvo. Enough for one day.
ReplyDeleteNow, on to a leisurely hop with friends. Much more fun.
Those bites can be nasty. That's the downside of the great outdoors.
ReplyDeleteDiscovered eucalyptus oil! The bugs hate it...now on to soothe my aching bones. And must start Book 4 of my Egyptian adventure series. Struggling though how to get the ghost ship from there to there. And why.
DeleteThanks for visiting.
Hope you've solved your ghost ship problem. Sounds interesting.
DeleteNot yet - interestingly, nobody really ever wondered about the real ghost ship that's still out there - But I am determined to give it a new life - or a watery grave, as the case may be.
