Today, I want to celebrate the Internet.
Just think about it:
We find information, readers find books, writers find readers, and -- most importantly -- I am finding FRIENDS like you.
The Internet has opened up a whole new world for me - while I sit in my peaceful little country corner dreaming and writing about exotic places.
Celebrate with me, my Friends.
When the flaming-orange tom was brought to the local animal shelter, he was messy. And he stank. That darn cat never took his eyes off me. They were not quite green and not quite yellow; they were round, and alert, and reflected light like precious stones set in orange gold. ‘Don’t even think about it,’ I told him. The internet! I'll go with that!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great thing to celebrate. I think sometimes we forget how lucky we are to have it. :)
ReplyDeleteI think I quietly celebrate the internet everyday! I'm celebrating at Laugh-Quotes
ReplyDeleteI think about how much my mom would have loved and benefited from the internet. It would have enabled her to meet so many people. I'm terribly shy and this is a place I can meet people and not be so anxious :) Great idea!
ReplyDeleteI am glad you all agree.
ReplyDeleteI just affirmed my celebration: Was able to research two old loves. No, not those...two ships I am writing about. Like conmen, they changed names and venues--but thanks to the Internet, I see that are still afloat--and, like some old loves, have changed their names. Amazing, indeed.
