Today, for our Friday Blog-Hop, I am celebrating Perseverance.
It is an admirable quality, I believe; moreover, it works, as my cats have taught me. If I forget the time (writing madly, of course), they begin their assault to remind me that it is "yum-yum" time.
First comes a gentle rubbing around my legs, then a not-so-gentle nibble. And if that doesn't work, they change into the sitting-on-the-keyboard mode.
When the flaming-orange tom was brought to the local animal shelter, he was messy. And he stank. That darn cat never took his eyes off me. They were not quite green and not quite yellow; they were round, and alert, and reflected light like precious stones set in orange gold. ‘Don’t even think about it,’ I told him. This made me smile. My cats do the same thing. Well, almost. If we're not up early enough to feed them, they come pat us on the face. If that doesn't work, they sit on us. And meow....loudly. Thanks for the happy and fun images!
